Advocate for policies that enhance evidence-based housing models, eliminate roadblocks to safe outdoor spaces and focus on equity and justice, prioritizing disproportionately underserved people. Work with neighborhoods and civic organizations to ensure that policies, funding and support services are devised to help individuals live in dignified, personal shelters with wrap-around services to maximize potential.

My Voice Matters in the Food System

Provide advocacy training and annual workshops for leaders of color that will empower individuals to be leaders to impact food policy change for community and support individuals interested in holding public office.

HEART Advocacy for the San Luis Valley

Use grassroots organizing tools and skills to engage residents in education, advocacy and coalition building to cultivate leadership, cultural belonging across the San Luis Valley to lead to policy change, accountable leadership and racial justice.

Mitigating the Health Impacts of Extreme Heat

Generate new data that will tell the story of low-income residents and communities of color communities as a means to build support for a responsive policy that can improve their health and well-being in the near term. Extreme heat and poor air quality in Denver are worsening and the health of its residents is suffering as a result, with low-income residents and communities of color most impacted by these conditions, which are associated with climate change.
