Maintain Healthy Bodies
Why is this important?
Having access to comprehensive primary care and physical well-being opportunities for children and youth are foundational to a healthy life. This means the health care experience is reflective of who a person is and what they require for improved health. It also means children and youth have access to activities that support their physical well-being and reflect their cultural backgrounds.

What are we doing in this area?
We ensure that all Coloradans have access to high-quality, comprehensive primary care when and where they need it, and we support children and youth engaging in activities for good physical well-being that carry across the lifespan.
What are our priorities?
We focus our work in the two following priorities:
- Primary Care: Our goal is to create equity in access to and use of high-quality, comprehensive primary care, so that more Coloradans receive quality primary care that reflects who they are, what they need and is near where they live.
- Child and Youth Physical Well-Being: Our goal is to support children and youth to meaningfully and regularly engage in activities associated with good physical well-being in ways that carry across the lifespan.
How do we support this area?
The Foundation is bringing health in reach for all Coloradans by engaging closely with communities across the state through investing, policy advocacy, learning and capacity building.
