Ballot box

At the Foundation, community engagement is a cornerstone of our work because it generates a better understanding of each community's unique strengths and resources from the Western Slope to the Eastern Plains. Keeping an eye on the policy topics that appear – or don't appear – in the places where local-level policy decisions are made is one way that we can deepen our understanding of the nuances across Colorado's communities and the underlying factors that shape our health in the different places we call home.

Each year, the Foundation, in partnership with the Colorado Health Institute, maintains a comprehensive annual tracker of the city- and county-level ballot measure questions considered by voters in communities across Colorado. These local ballot measure trackers are a publicly available one-stop-shop compilation that can be used to better understand policy issues occurring in your municipality or county or to track the issues appearing in other cities, towns and counties across Colorado.

2024 Local Ballot Trackers coming soon! Scroll down below to view the trackers for 2023 and previous years.

Our trackers are continuously updated as new local ballot measures are proposed and decided by voters. Make sure to bookmark this page so you can come back to it as a reference.
