The Colorado Health Foundation Adds a New Board Member

The Colorado Health Foundation welcomes a new member to their Board of Directors: Guy Torres. Additionally, Board Chair Tommy Barnhart has completed his term as chair, with Terri Richardson, MD stepping into the position.

Guy Torres has served on The Colorado Health Foundation’s Investment Committee since 2020. He is now bringing his expert knowledge of both the Foundation and investment management to the Board of Directors. Torres is a managing director at Pacific Income Advisers, a boutique investment advisory firm. Additionally, he holds an MBA from the University of Colorado at Boulder, a Certified Investment Management Analyst designation and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary designation. Torres’ community involvement includes an eight-year tenure as a trustee, and at times board chair, of the Board and Investment Committee for the Fire and Police Pension Association of Colorado.

“I’m honored to contribute my skillset to an organization making such positive impacts throughout Colorado,” Torres said.

In addition to adding a new member, The Colorado Health Foundation Board of Directors will now be chaired by Terri Richardson, MD who has been a board member since 2016. “I spent my medical career serving the health needs of Coloradans,” said Richardson. “I am appreciative of the ways I work with The Colorado Health Foundation to continue serving the people of this state to make sure we all have what we need to live healthy lives.”

Richardson succeeds Tommy Barnhart as the Board chair: “I’m excited to continue my relationship with The Colorado Health Foundation as I transition back into a board member role,” Barnhart says. “The Board is confident in Terri’s leadership and dedication to making Colorado a healthier, stronger state.”
