Violence has no place in a democratic society, and we are heartbroken by the horrific attack in Boulder. Actions that aim to intimidate or harm people gathered together peacefully are a threat to fundamental expressions of democracy and diminish our collective sense of safety and well-being. A healthier and more equitable Colorado is one built on upholding the principles of safety, dignity and mutual respect for every member of our community.
