DENVER – The Colorado Health Foundation named Ashley Marks and Laurie Muller-Girard as the newest members of its board of directors. The Foundation thanks former board chair Mark E. Wallace, MD, whose term ended at the close of 2022, for his service. Tommy Barnhart assumed board chair beginning Jan. 1, 2023.

Ashley Marks is a co-managing partner and founder of Cordillera Investment Partners, an investment management firm focused on investing in niche, non-correlated assets. She has over 20 years of experience in the financial sector. Before founding Cordillera, Marks was a partner at Makena Capital Management where she was a portfolio manager responsible for Makena’s real estate investments.

“I am excited to join the board and support The Colorado Health Foundation’s mission to improve the health of Coloradans,” said Marks. “The community-led initiatives funded by the Foundation are making a difference throughout Colorado, moving communities closer to achieving health equity.”

Laurie Muller-Girard joins the board with over 30 years of experience in banking. She is an executive vice president, west regional sales executive with KeyBank. In this role, Muller-Girard is responsible for developing KeyBank’s commercial banking professionals in the western states region to ensure they identify, understand and provide solutions to meet client needs.

“We know that lack of opportunity, poverty and racism are barriers to health,” said Muller-Girard. “I am honored to join the board of a foundation that focuses on dismantling these barriers while bringing health in reach for all Coloradans.”

“The Colorado Health Foundation’s board is made up of passionate individuals who are dedicated to ensuring that all Coloradans have what they need to live healthy lives,” said Karen McNeil-Miller, president and CEO of The Colorado Health Foundation. “I am thrilled that Ashley and Laurie, two insightful leaders, have joined us. I look forward to working with them as we strive to improve the health of Coloradans.”
