Erik has been in the nonprofit world for 15 years in a wide variety of positions — because changing people’s lives for the positive is his life’s work. His role at the Foundation enables him to help Coloradans live their healthiest lives, while taking into account the barriers people face depending on their background, environment or life experiences.
At the Foundation since 2012, Erik feels honored to work with smart, dedicated and motivated colleagues. He is passionate about his work. Any day that he gets to laugh, cry and learn something new is a truly full day! Erik is driven by human connection and compassion and is on a constant quest to understand and respond to the unique health needs of Coloradans across the state.
Given Erik’s commitment to health, it’s no surprise that he's usually on the move, whether that means traveling to meet with grantees or, in his non-work time, partnering with the City of Denver to promote cycling and related infrastructure.
For his mental, emotional and physical health, Erik enjoys getting out on his bike, spending time with family and friends, and listening to lots and lots of music. A concert at Red Rocks is his not-to-be-missed suggestion for any and all out of town visitors. And if he’s not on the move, he’s probably relishing downtime on his couch with friends, cheering on his Arizona Wildcats or Denver Broncos.
