Michele Whitty Ross
After trading in a professional career in space science education to spend a decade raising her kids, Michele made another 180 into the world of nonprofits. At the Foundation, she has served as our office manager and now as our facilities and WELL manager.
When she joined the Foundation in 2013, she landed smack-dab in the middle of a huge transition at the organization, including the creation of our new building. Now, as the official caretaker of the building, she is directly connected to the health and wellness of each Foundation team member, and she is guided by her belief that the health of each individual affects us all. We’re also quite certain she has climbed our central staircase more than anyone else.
It’s an understatement to say that Michele is always on the move. Heralding from the East Coast and world traveler, Michele was born and raised in NYC, spent 20 years in the Washington, D.C., area and 18 months in South Korea. She has traveled to five of the seven continents for both work and play.
Here in Colorado, Michele is not only on a quest to help Coloradans improve their health, she’s also helping us up our style game. She supports Denver Dress for Success — and it doesn’t have to cost much. This serial bargain shopper and consignment store aficionada just scored a $2,200 silk evening gown for $20!
Michele has three grown children and is married to a fabulous chef, who helps her family eat healthy. For sanity and indulgence, she ends most days with a glass of red wine and one square of 86% dark chocolate.
