By serving Coloradans who have less power, privilege and income, and by prioritizing Coloradans of color, we keep equity at the heart of our work to bring health in reach.
For 10 years, the Colorado Health Foundation, in partnership with the Colorado Health Institute, published the Colorado Health Report Card, an annual update examining the current status of health in the state. The Health Report Card provides a benchmark for measuring progress on some of the state’s most pressing health issues across 38 key health indicators and through five life stages: Healthy Beginnings, Healthy Children, Healthy Adolescents, Healthy Adults and Healthy Aging.
In 2016, we celebrated the Health Report Card’s 10th anniversary, unveiling 10-year trends on where we’ve made progress and challenges we continue to face. Between 2006 and 2016, the Health Report Card has evolved beyond the health grade. More than a tool to share data, it has ignited conversations that are helping to shape the story of Colorado’s health. Get a look at the 2016 Colorado Health Report Card and learn how a decade of data can inform policy solutions to help improve the health of all Coloradans.
