This study was designed to better understand the barriers low-income families face when trying to support children’s physical activity. The findings suggest that parents understand the importance of physical activity for their children’s physical and social development but are often overwhelmed by the challenge of integrating physical activity into their lives with limited personal, financial and community resources.
