Joseph Dominguez, Love Thy Neighbor - Resident Real Estate Company with a focus on Affordable For Sale Housing. 12:40:04 From Flossie O'Leary : Agree with the comments about food and water considerations. Bennet Office: 303-455-7600 Mike_washington@bennet.senate.gov 12:57:28 From Dede de Percin To All Panelists : Because we’ve criminalized addiction, many folks can’t access many programs intended to make renting and owning - well, not really ore affordable, but perhaps less expensive. 12:58:37 From Cathy Alderman : State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFR) 12:59:05 From Cathy Alderman : And, American Rescue Plan Act = ARPA 13:01:10 From Galen Beaver : It appears this funding is not really for the homeless. 13:01:40 From Cathy Alderman : The Governor has a $200m proposal for homelessness resolution 13:02:47 From Cathy Alderman : https://leg.colorado.gov/sites/default/files/images/homeless_proposals_11.5.21_2.pdf 13:03:02 From Matt Lynn To All Panelists : Crushing it. Unfortunately things have come up here and I need to get off this call. Look forward to getting the recording and the future trainings. 13:26:00 From Darlene Beals : `Are you helping folks in mobile homes to buy their park from the landlord? 13:26:46 From Matt Lynn : Darlene, there is a new bill that will soon be introduced that will do just that, and 9to5 is an endorser of that bill. Clear Creek limited how many at one time. 13:43:41 From Beth Truby : CHFA has a new Colorado Affordable Housing Preservation Fund which prioritizes funding for naturally occurring affordable housing. Feel free to contact me at btruby@chfainfo.com 13:43:59 From Jenn Lopez : great resources in the chat--thanks everyone! 13:44:19 From Jenn Lopez : Series topics: 13:44:23 From Jenn Lopez : March 4 — Housing Markets in 2022 April 1 — Developing Community Housing Strategies May 6 —The Role of Housing Policy and Land Use in Housing Strategy June 3 — Housing Stability and Preventing/Addressing Homelessness July 8 — Public Will Building and Innovative Public/Private Partnerships August 5 — Building and Preserving Inventory 13:44:27 From Corrie Burr : Town of Breckenridge limited permits to 2200 (currently sitting over 3,000) and imposed a $400 per room fee starting January 1, 2022 that goes directly to the Housing Fund. 13:44:34 From Shirley Diaz : Will you copy the chat and post it after this meeting? 13:44:49 From Jonathan Cappelli To All Panelists : Could you post that question in the chat Sara? 13:44:53 From Jonathan Cappelli To All Panelists : Sorry 13:45:04 From Sara Monge : onathan made a great point about addressing the TOTAL need (Colorado needs 30k units per year to close it's 300k gap in 10 years). There are many opportunities for local housing initiatives underway (i.e.DOLA IHOP and IHOI funds). How are we tracking the this effort statewide - what supports/programs/incentives are out there to help city/county/state joint efforts? 13:45:08 From Trish Warner : Yes....was wondering how we could save chat! 13:45:15 From Jonathan Cappelli To All Panelists : Still having sound issues 13:46:00 From AMY WIEDEMAN : Jonathan made a great point about addressing the TOTAL need (Colorado needs 30k units per year to close it's 300k gap in 10 years). There are many opportunities for local housing initiatives underway (i.e.DOLA IHOP and IHOI funds). How are we tracking the this effort statewide - what supports/programs/incentives are out there to help city/county/state joint efforts? 13:46:50 From Shirley Diaz To All Panelists : Sara-Will you be saving the chat for us? 13:47:03 From Sara Monge To Matt Lynn(privately) : can we easily save the chat? 13:47:11 From Sara Monge To Matt Lynn(privately) : Or do I need to do a massive copy and paste into word? 13:47:30 From Sara Monge : Yes, we will find a way to save the chat and put it in a format for you all to read with the other resources! 13:47:34 From Matt Lynn To Sara Monge(privately) : I think the chat saves with the recording, but I’m not positive. 13:47:38 From Matt Lynn To Sara Monge(privately) : I will cut/paste as a backup 13:47:45 From AMY WIEDEMAN : Thank you! It seems like this is such a regional goal/effort that we should be following it closely at state level. Thanks all! 13:48:16 From Sara Monge : Current question: Why not reform Down payment assistance, subsidized housing programs, and other programs that were meant to help working class folks to include folks with ITIN. Especially because we have a worker shortage. 13:48:30 From Beth Truby : CHFA manages a preservation database of subsidized housing across the state and are developing a naturally occurring affordable housing database (this only built out for metro Denver to day). We can track high priority properties for preservation and try and target resources. 13:49:28 From Erica Madison : Representing one of those CDFI's, I'll post our contact information here: Impact Development Fund, Megan Ferguson / Erica Madison - 970-901-7994 or erica@impactdf.org 13:50:06 From Shirley Diaz To All Panelists : USDA loan is the best rural product. In my region we helped Habitat use this funding for their homeowners. It is only for rural folks, but it is a significant low income loan product. There are actually 2 they offer, but under 80% AMI even get their interest rate subsidized. 13:50:14 From Liv Bergman : you then make it even more difficult for non-profits to hire and compete in the marketplace 13:51:01 From Shirley Diaz : Are people aware of USDA loans for their rural community? 13:52:07 From Miguel Ceballos : I work with an awesome lender that does itin loans at 5%. 13:52:18 From Miguel Ceballos : Alterra Loans 13:52:58 From Don Cameron To All Panelists : Will have to leave, and posted a question earlier. But I have to leave before hearing the answer. Sorry if the question is not clear. 13:53:50 From AMY WIEDEMAN : Like infrastructure! We need an "infrastructure trust fund" for municipalities to offset that expense for affordable developments. 13:53:56 From Lisa Sifrit : Not a question but a comment: One idea would be to create statewide policy that requires First Right to Refusal for tenants when homeowners go to sell. This could open more opportunities to support mortgage assistance and move renters to homeowners potentially 13:55:22 From Sara Monge : Some of the recommendations from the behavioral task force and housing might come together as joint legislation later in this session 13:55:35 From Cesiah Guadarrama : @Lisa yes that would be the dream, unfortunately our state constitution creates some barriers for a real Right of First Refusal 13:55:52 From Desiree Kameka Galloway : I/DD are not part of mental health/CoC because they have a different point of entry which are Community Centered-Boards.... was there I/DD representation on that taskforce? 13:55:55 From Cesiah Guadarrama : So we are left with an option to create a pathway for opportunity to purchase rights 13:56:27 From Suze Kanack : Thank you for all the information. Have a peaceful day. 13:56:30 From Shirley Diaz To All Panelists : I hit Select All and everything in the chat was highlighted, so you may be able to cut and paste that way. 13:56:31 From Kimberley Sannes To All Panelists : Thanks you! So much great information! 13:56:39 From Nina Taylor To All Panelists : Thank you for your time 13:56:58 From Desiree Kameka Galloway : So great- thank you! 13:56:59 From Don Varey : Thqnks much.
