The Good Neighbor Guide Toolkit

In 2024, The Colorado Health Foundation released the research-backed Good Neighbor Messaging Guide, based on deep multi-year audience research conducted in Colorado, on how to deploy effective persuasive messaging about affordable housing policies that can activate supporters, move those who are conflicted or concerned, and neutralize opposition messages. Watch this introductory video to learn more about this messaging guide and the digital toolkit.

One Page Guides

This is a series of six one-page guides to build public support for inclusive housing policies in Colorado. They are grounded in research with Coloradans and the evidence-based Heartwired framework.

Housing Messaging Workshops

The video recordings are from a two-part virtual workshop held in October 2025. Both parts of the workshop are included in one video. Please note that the recording only includes the presenters speaking, and omits all participant discussion and questions.

As you watch the recording, we strongly recommend that you pause whenever there is an interactive exercise or discussion, to complete the exercise on your own and/or take some notes on how you would answer the discussion questions.

The recording does not include the final capstone exercise that the participants did at the end of Part 2, which was practice interviews. However, we have made that exercise worksheet available to download, and would strongly encourage you to complete this practice opportunity on your own after watching the recording.
