Jennifer Chheang’s career has been fueled by a deep commitment to advancing health equity and racial justice. With over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector and 20 years in grantmaking, Jennifer has continuously worked to address systemic injustices and center the voices of those most impacted by inequity.

As the Vice President of Community Investment and Impact at the Foundation, Jennifer oversees a dedicated team working toward health equity across Colorado. She is passionate about building authentic partnerships with communities, advocates, and organizations to dismantle barriers to well-being rooted in systems of oppression.

Her professional journey has taken her from Chicago to Cambodia to Long Beach where she worked with Cambodian refugees. Jennifer’s experiences give her a nuanced understanding of the relationship between place, power, policy and health outcomes.

Although she left the beach behind, Jennifer quickly fell in love with the Rockies and Colorado’s endless opportunities for outdoor adventures. In her personal time, Jennifer enjoys swimming a few miles each week, watching live sports and scrolling through golden retriever videos on Instagram. She treasures time with her two children: her son, a creative spirit studying English and Music at UC Berkeley, and her daughter, an accomplished swimmer, water polo player and Model UN enthusiast. Together, their family shares a love of travel, good food and relaxing.

For Jennifer, life is at its best when she’s sharing a meal with and enjoying the company of her family and friends.
