This year’s theme, Wisdom and Wonder: Weaving Generations Together for a Healthier Future, recognizes the real tension of this moment. Nonprofits and the communities they serve are facing an unrelenting and often dehumanizing set of challenges, and many leaders are unsure what to do next. At the same time, the theme honors what has already been built through years of organizing, advocacy, and care, and invites intergenerational learning and collaboration as we draw from shared wells of knowledge and stay open to what is still becoming. The grounding of hard-earned experience meets the spark of fresh imagination. Memory and momentum move together. In this gathering, wisdom is not something we protect from change, and wonder is not something we pursue without roots. The most powerful movements are woven from both.
