DCFAC?s goal is to immediately address food access in Denver while ultimately building a sustainable base of power for food justice that is driven and led by community members most affected by inequity.
Improve the community?s food systems by taking a leading role in the effort to address food insecurity through a network of organizations addressing a myriad of social issues including food insecurity. They will transform community?s efforts into solutions with and within the Food Security Network through collaborative strategic planning and leadership to bring health equity to all.
The Food Insecurity Task Force (FITF) will leverage effective collaboration to create systems change in order to reduce food insecurity across Grand and Jackson counties.
Increase access to fresh, healthy foods for low-income Coloradans and in communities lacking availability by providing loans to grocery stores and other food retailers.
The Reducing Food Insecurity and Inequity (RFII) Coalition aims to eradicate food system barriers by better coordinating food access programming and exploring pathways to integrate equity components to share decision-making power with communities most affected by inequity across West Montrose and San Miguel counties.
LCFAC strives to build a community in which healthy food is affordable, available, and in demand by consumers, particularly for those at or below 200% of the poverty level. The coalition?s movement-building goal is to design a community where the power, skills, and knowledge to change the food system is shared among residents.
The SANA Coalition exists to address the needs for greater regional coordination around food systems, decrease food insecurity, and increase enrollment in food assistance programs while centering community power. This work will encompass healthy food access and equity issues, local farm viability, food loss and food waste, and the local food economy.
