Study to Conduct a Pilot PACE program in El Paso County

Conduct the preliminary research needed to facilitate collaboration among agencies to submit an application to the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) to become one of the first geographic areas in the U.S. to build a new PACE program for people with significant disabilities and complex medical need between the ages of 18 and 55. Research will be to: determine the number of potentially eligible individuals in El Paso County, the interest level in the proposed PACE model by those who qualify, as well as to identify current health care costs, and potential Medicaid costs savings.
