Advocacy for Immigrant Communities, By Immigrant Communities

Utilize community mobilization, base building, legal advocacy and implementation support to increase immigrant legal defense funds across Colorado, promote accountability in providing drivers licenses for immigrants, stimulate mobile home park protections, and empower Latinx immigrant and undocumented communities to advocate for improved health, safety and economic outcomes.

Building the Capacity of West Denver Community Connectors (WDCC)

Cultivate community leaders to develop solutions to community challenges by supporting technical skill development, establishing a support network of other community leaders and organizations, and identifying pathways for community leaders to lead their work and organization independently.

Building Multiracial, Multi-Faith Community Voice for Health Equity and a Human Dignity Agenda in Colorado

Organize powerful statewide BIPOC-led, multi-racial, community-led organizing efforts to forward structural change impacting health equity at municipal and state levels. Efforts will address affordable housing, criminal justice system reform and equitable taxation and economic justice supporting health equity priorities for our communities. Together Colorado utilizes a proven 42-year organizing process with a radical commitment to the development and leadership of low income leaders of color.

General Operating Support

Support CCHI's Community Advisory Board (CAB), community driven coalition work, and relational organizing to identify, prioritize, and amplify communities' health needs and policy solutions for and by BIPOC Coloradans. The CAB and its membership will tackle health disparities by valuing and centering on the lived experiences of community members with the biggest barriers to health care, especially BIPOC.

General Operating Support

Develop young leaders focused on equity and racial justice through a multi-issue organizing model, which prioritizes engaging and developing young people of color and LGBTQ+ youth in civic engagement approaches.

TABOR Rebates and Tax Fairness for Working Coloradans

Support paid digital public education and public opinion research to guide the creation of best messaging around TABOR refund checks arriving in August and early January 2023 to inform efforts to reform Colorado's tax policies.

Equity Action Project Alumni Network

Strengthen organizational capacity to support expansion of the Equity Action Project (EAP) Alumni Network series. With this support, MANAUS will facilitate the development of more equitable organizations, shift cultural and racial dynamics, and growth of equitable practices across the Roaring Fork Valley region.
