Mountain Roots / Gunnison Valley Community Food Security Project

This community-based food security project has three primary integrated components. 1. amplifying the voices of rural Coloradans in Gunnison County, 2. increasing equitable food access by removing barriers and expanding fresh food supply in alternate distribution channels outside of federal food assistance program and ; and 3) complimenting increased access with nutrition and cooking education, knowledge and skills which promote self-sufficiency and lasting positive behavior change.
