Colorado Physical Education Cadre

Support schools in the development of a cultural and structural climate that supports health and wellness. This will be accomplished by providing state-wide high quality professional development and technical assistance for physical education teachers, classroom teachers and school staff.

Healthy Schools Transition Grant

Conduct policy work aligned with the development and implementation of a streamlined professional development system, and with the preconditions outlined in the Professional Development Roadmap Alignment document.

A Statewide Systems Approach to Building Healthy Charter School Students

Represent the voice of public charter schools in the design and implementation of the PD system and advance regional network pod development, state-wide partnerships, collaborations, academic services, communications, and new school development in support of healthy students in Colorado's public charter school sector.

Colorado Parents for Healthy Kids

Activate families and school parent groups at 20 schools in high need and/or rural communities to implement best practices in school nutrition and physical activity over the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 school years.

Chalkbeat Colorado Healthy Schools Covera

Inform the decisions and actions that lead to better outcomes for children and families, especially those in low-income communities where improvement can
have the largest impact. Through this project, we aim to effectively inform the debates about education policy and educator practice regarding healthy schools.

PJU 2018 Healthy Schools Systems

Work with the Colorado Education Association and other state partners and stakeholders to advance a health and equity frame centered on the Whole Child framework, including research and policy analysis centered on equitable access to healthy foods, physical and mental health, physical education and activity, social and emotional learning, healthy school climate, etc.
