Keeping it Healthy at Archuleta School District

Continue to develop and implement robust healthy schools programming utilizing the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child approach integrating WSCC into all aspects of educating our students. Archuleta School District will create a comprehensive healthy school strategic plan informed by students, parents, staff, and community members that will include a rigorous evaluation process of our current practices to increase the health outcomes for our youth.

Delta County School District Healthy Schools Implementation Plan

The District Health and Wellness plan addresses goals for all 10 components of the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child model, and includes strategies to strengthen physical activity using neuroscience research and practices, promote integration of professional development and curricular materials in the current school programs, and to engage schools and communities in important health equity work.

Healthy Schools Implementation

Mesa County Valley School district consists of 40 schools, ~22,000 students and a 45% free and reduced population. Our District Wellness Advisory Council (DWAC) was formed and began work in January of 2018. The DWAC group will review district wellness policies during the 2018-19SY culminating in revised wellness policies to the board by the end of the SY. Board policy work will utilize best practice districts in the state and evidence based WSCC model/methods.

Weld County School District RE-2 (Eaton Schools) Planning and Implementation Grant

Weld County School District RE-2 (Eaton Schools) has partnered with The North Colorado Health Alliance to apply for a Healthy Schools Planning and Implementation grant on their behalf. This isolated, rural district does not have the capacity for dedicated wellness staff and would greatly benefit from a .5FTE wellness coordinator, provided by NCHA, to coordinate their wellness efforts and write a comprehensive Health and Wellness Plan for the district.

Comprehensive Health & Wellness Strategy For Underserved Schools

Continue and expand the Comprehensive Wellness Strategy and Pilot School program for district schools where 50% or more of the student population participate in the Free and Reduced Lunch (FRL) program. Through this proposed project, CCSD will provide staff, students, and families with evidence-based and evidence-informed programs to promote physical activity and nutrition, a culture of health and wellness, and improved opportunities for physical activity and nutrition.

Lake County School District Healthy Schools Implementation Plan

Increase academic achievement through the prioritization of healthy nutrition, physical activity and social emotional health. The implementation plan is the result of two years of planning by the district and its primary stakeholders, including parents, students, school staff and community partners.

Healthy Schools Grand County

Continue the collaborative partnership between East and West Grand School Districts to sustain "Healthy Schools Grand County", a partnership that focuses on the Whole School, Whole Community, and Whole Child (WSCC) model/framework.
